Tabarani and Bayhaqi narrated from Ibn Omar (ra): “Whoever visits the grave of his father and mother or the grave of one of both on Friday and recites surah al Yasin there, Allah (swt) will forgive the owner of the grave.” Ibn Adiyy (ra) narrated a hadith from Abu Bakr (ra) that: Reciting Quran and conveying the reward to the deceased parentsĪbu Huraira (ra) reported Allah's Messenger (pbuh) as saying: “When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased)”. Is it acceptable in Islam to pray and recite Quran by standing in front of the grave for parents and the deceased? Asking Allah to forgive their sins and ask for Jannah? Is it permissible to read Quran at the grave?
